Theater for All is a performing arts class that pairs disabled students with non-disabled peers in order to produce and perform a musical. Students learn singing, dancing, and acting skills as well as basic set, costume, make-up, and lighting design skills. Students work with their partner to learn these skills in order to create a student produced and directed show. During the course of rehearsals, students also learn how to communicate and collaborate effectively, successfully and creatively. Non-disabled students learn how their skills can be used to serve the community, and disabled students learn how their personal voice and identity can shine in public and on the stage.
