Student Attendance Policies

1. In order to participate in an athletic practice, extra-curricular activity, or contest during a school day or during the evening of the school day, the student must be in attendance half of the school day. Exceptions to this policy will be:
A. Administratively approved absence (field trips, school-sponsored events).
B. Previous permission from an administrator to miss school.

2. There will be no participation in the next contest for full or half day truancy. Chronic lateness will be viewed as truancy.

3. Any other exceptions to this policy shall be considered only upon the advice and consent of the high school principal and the athletic director.
