Wallace Stegner, after whom this school was named, was an american novelist, essayist, and environmentalist. He won the Pulitzer Prize in 1972. Coincidentally, we're also a few blocks away from the filming location for THE Sandlot, made famous by the 1993 coming-of-age movie.
