Diagrams are often seen in technical documents, and instruction sheets.
What do we look for?
What do we look for?
Diagrams have a combination of image and text and are often used to explain how something works or how it is constructed. You will either see an image of an object with labels of the parts, or an image with numbers (or other symbols) and a legend.
How do we read them?
How do we read them?
- Look closely at the images
- Watch for arrows that point to important parts of the image
- Look out for words in bold print, as they label the big ideas or big picture.
- Smaller text may explain more detailed information.
