Welcome to the Home Learning Challenge

What is the home learning challenge?

The home learning challenge encourages children to explore and respond to a given topic. It gives them an opportunity to

  • have fun learning about something they are interested in
  • show their learning in a way of their choosing. e.g. write a story, design a poster, build a model or compose a song.

There is no right or wrong way of doing it!

Plants from Ngunnawal Country

We would love to hear what you know about Indigenous plants, especially those that we commonly see on Ngunnawal country.

To get you started, we made a short video about the traditional uses of one of the most common grasses seen in Canberra, lomandra longifolia, or spiny-head mat-rush.

Challenge Period

May 11 - 25
