July/August 2023 Spotlight

Join us in celebrating all of the district staff, sponsors, vendors, and teachers all led by Mindy Hendrix for "Raise the Bar 2023!"  Each year, teachers descend on Booker T. Washington High School for a day of professional learning.  Dreamed up on a car ride home from an educational conference, "Raise the Bar" is an annual Escambia County Public Schools tradition of excellence, helping to prepare our educators to go the distance with their students.  This year, there were 55 sessions featuring titles such as: "Writing Across the Curriculum, United Math Problem Solvers, Project-Based Learning, Hands-On Science, History Happens, Kids on Stage, and Build a Breakout Box."  We cannot wait to see what 2024 brings us!!
