January 2023 Spotlights

Happy 2023!! We are thrilled to have the chance to highlight four of our district stars and their mutual use of Classroom Screen .  These four teachers embody innovation and empathy.  It was an absolute privilege to be able to interview and talk to all four of these wonderful educators all at different stages in their careers.  Ms. McWhite has been with ECPS for over 15 years, all dedicated to her students at Brown-Barge Middle School.  Mr. Michael Dennis has over 30 years with the district and is now coaching new teachers as a S.T.A.R.T. teacher.  Ms. Chenier and Mrs. Gehrke are wonderful new additions to our district .  We feel very lucky to have these four caring for our schools and students.

Ms. McWhite first learned about Classroom Screen from another teacher at a  summer S.T.E.M.posium put on by the FLDOE and has been using it ever since.  She has been able to share it with her administration at Brown Barge and with Mr. Dennis.  Mr. Dennis has, in turn, been able to share the digital tool with his sixteen new teachers as well as administrators at Workman Middle and Escambia High School.  Classroom Screen has timers, calendars, noise meters.  Teachers are able to post their standards, daily learning objectives, any needed learning materials, and much more.
