April 2023 Spotlight

For the month of April, we are highlighting just two of the 220 teachers and Media Specialists in Escambia County Public Schools using Book Creator.  Book Creator  works with Canva, Canvas, Google for Education and much, much more.  Of the 220 teachers using Book Creator, you will find every subject and type of student you can imagine, over 1,400 students to date.  Together, our teachers and students have created 304 libraries encompassing 5,400 unique books.  Book Creator allows students to collaborate and teachers to share and publish their students work with parent permission.  Below, hear Mrs. Chism's and Ms. Lyons' stories on how and why they choose to use Book Creator with their students.  They have also kindly shared work they have done with their students in Book Creator.  We hope you enjoy their innovative approaches to learning as much as we do.

Book Creator is also set to be used this summer for an engaging blend between English Language Arts and Science at the Elementary level.  This is thanks to the innovation and foresight of our Science TSA Mrs. Suzanne DeLay and our supportive district leadership.
