How is Service as Action assessed?
Students keep a portfolio with their service activities throughout the year in ManageBac. In the portfolios students reflect on their perseverance, their strengths and areas for growth, new skills they developed, how well they collaborated with others, how well they planned their projects, the ethical implications of their actions, and how the projects helped them become more aware.
All students need to write a final SA reflection at the end of each school year. This, along with the documentation of their activities on ManageBac, will determine whether or not they receive satisfactory progress or unsatisfactory progress for SA on their final report card.
