Google Groups/Aliases

Group Moderation: some of the Google Groups/aliases are moderated, which means that messages being delivered this was must be reviewed and OK'd before the will actually be delivered

Opting Out: some of the Google Groups allow for users to opt-out, so they no longer are part of the group.

Your groups will appear and can be managed in your list on your Google Groups home page: https://groups.google.com/a/eckerd.edu

its-announce@eckerd.edu - moderated - used to send emails to the campus community related to common ITS announcement
cps-events@eckerd.edu - can opt out - used to send emails related to College Program Series Events
campus-events@eckerd.edu - can opt out - use to send emails related to Campus Events

Staff/Faculty

faculty-official@eckerd.edu - moderated - used to send emails to the faculty community for official notifications
faculty-talk@eckerd.edu - can opt out - used to send emails to the faculty community
faculty-residential@eckerd.edu - moderated - used to send emails only to residential faculty
staff-official@eckerd.edu - moderated - used to send emails to the staff community for official notifications
staff-talk@eckerd.edu - can opt out - used to send emails to the staff community

Students

students-official@eckerd.edu - moderated - used to send emails to the student community for official notifications
Class Year - All the students classified by class year (base on credit hours completed): frosh, sophomores, juniors, and seniors@eckerd.edu.
Collegium - All the students, divided by which Collegium their major falls under. The name is [collegium]_students, for example nas_students@eckerd.edu
Major - All students who have declared a given major. In addition, this is broken down my class year. The formats are [major name, with spaces replaced by underscores]_major and [major name, with spaces replaced by underscores]_[classyear], for example: visual_arts_major@eckerd.edu and visual_arts_freshmen@eckerd.edu
Mentor - All the students mentored by a given faculty member. The format is [faculty-email]_mentees, for example (if Walter Moore were a mentor): <moorewr_mentees@eckerd.edu>

Student Housing

Housing - Aliases for each House and Complex, following the formats [house name]_house and [complex name]_complex, for example: prasch_house@eckerd.edu and alpha_complex@eckerd.edu
Nu and Omega do not have House aliases. Omega has floor aliases -omega_house_1@eckerd.edu through omega_house_3@eckerd.edu. Nu has section aliases nu_house_1_4@eckerd.edu through nu_9_12@eckerd.edu.
commuter@eckerd.edu - used to send emails to those students not currently living in on-campus housing
