Please read through each statement carefully. This is helpful information when it comes to the Room Draw process.
Housing Accommodations:
Returning students - The Application to renew current housing accommodations opens on February 6, 2026, at 12pm EST and closes on Monday, February 23, 2026, at 5pm EST.
The Late Housing Accommodation Request Form will open after Room Draw for currently enrolled students on May 4, 2026.
The Housing Office will not make any changes during selection days.
Once a group has selected a room, placed their roommate(s) in beds, and confirmed the selection, there will not be any changes made until the following Monday.
Students can email the Housing Office if they want to change their housing assignments but there is no guarantee that anything will be available so make your selections wisely.
This is especially important if you need to select large animal housing as they are a high priority for many and limited!
You must get into your roommate group while applications are open. After applications are closed, no one can be added, removed, etc.
Only one person per group will create the group and name it (group leader).
Only the group leader will send everyone else a roommate request to join the group.
Then, each student must accept the request in their application to officially join the group. The initial request does not make you a part of the group. You must hit the accept button.
Utilize the floorplans to write out all of your preferences. Options go very fast during selection days so the more rooms you have written out, the better. You can always reach out to the Housing Office for location or themed housing specifics.
Use your computer instead of your phone on selection day to avoid wasting time or connectivity issues. You need to be able to view as many options as possible to save time scrolling.
Even if the rooms you want are no longer available, select the room type (double, triple, or themed) to secure a room with your roommate(s). Other room locations could open up later on but you want to make sure you secure a room for yourself. If you do not select through Room Draw, your housing is not guaranteed.
If you are having issues logging into your application, make sure you are only signed in to your Eckerd email account.
If you are still having issues try logging in using an incognito browsing window.
General reminder: Room Draw is based on seniority meaning Class Standing. Class Standing is completed/earned credits. Credits from the Spring semester do not count as they are not completed hours. CPS credits also do not count for Room Draw. There will always be several group applications that have the same total group standing points. The housing software randomly generates time slots within the groups with the same points and then moves to the next group with the same points. The system still favors seniority but is also a lot about the luck of the random generator.
