The video below shows how to complete the housing application from start to finish. The most important information to review is how to send a roommate request (only one person per group) and how to select a room. What you don't see in this video is when the roommate request was accepted, but that is the reason why I was able to continue. This video also does not show the holding page you all will land on once each application is closed and before your selection time slot. The entire video took less than four minutes and your selection should take even less time as long as you have plenty of backup room preferences at the ready!
Once you add a specific room to your cart and continue to the next page, you will be able to place each roommate in a specific bed. It doesn't matter which bed students are placed in UNLESS there are multiple bedrooms.
Please know which bedroom you want everyone placed in for Omega, Nu, and Oberg Suites. Omega always has rooms A, B, and C start from left to right. Nu upstairs left bedroom is 1 and the upstairs right is 2, while the downstairs left bedroom is 3 and downstairs right is 4 when facing the bedroom doors/stairs.
As soon as you click the Assign Beds button and view the confirmation page, you have completed the room selection portion of Room Draw! Reminder: No changes will be made after you assign beds until the following Monday. After selection, you must select a meal plan, opt in or out of renters insurance, and sign the housing agreement. Signing the housing agreement is how you complete the entire application and is mandatory before arriving on campus in the Fall.
The first two emails are example emails that the group leader will receive. This shows the group leader that they successfully named a group and successfully sent someone a roommate request to join the group.
The third email is what you should be sent if you successfully accepted a roommate request and were added to a group. If you do not receive an email notification, you did not accept the request in your housing application. You should also be able to see that you are in a group in your application.
