Beginner Band
About Beginner Band
This is where the musical journey starts: beginner band! Students in the beginning band are divided into three classes during the day. They are then further divided into smaller groups based on the type of instrument they play. Beginner band students start the year not knowing how to make a sound on their instrument and by the end of the year, they are playing full-length band compositions. This is an exciting time for young musicians, as well as parents and band directors alike. It is amazing to watch these youngsters grow and develop. At the end of the year, the beginners (who are no longer beginners at that time) will be placed in one of the three 7th and 8th-grade bands: Wind Ensemble, Honor Band, or Symphonic Band.
