On 07 November 2024, Liberty Magnet High School hosted our first JROTC Leadership Bowl. This is a nationwide leadership team competition, consisting of four cadets. Nine EBR JROTC High School programs competed, with Liberty Magnet High School placing first overall. Woodlawn missing first place by one point, finished second. Northeast HS finished third. Prior to the competition, several JROTC instructors were award the Silver and Bronze Award for their outstanding performance and an instructor.
There are many benefits of participating in the Leadership Bowl:
(1) Increases interest in college admissions and access to college prep materials
(2) Improve leadership skills
(3) Demonstrate academic and leadership strengths of the JROTC program
(4) Boost esprit-de-corps • Share your leadership experience and best practices with other JROTC units
(5) Earn the opportunity to travel to our nation’s capital
