On 12 March 2026, Glen Oaks HS JROTC Staff hosted the annual Leadership Education Training Level 1 Board Competition. Congratulations to all the staff and cadets who participated. Outstanding performance by the top JROTC Cadets from 9 EBR programs throughout the city. The Senior Army Instructors (SAI) and Army Instructors (AI) did a masterful job perparing and mentoring their "first year" freshmen JROTC cadets for this competition. This was by-far the most competitive LET 1 board over the past 15 years. First Place winner was Cadet Private Manel Ihssene Chegdal-Hachimi from Liberty HS. The 2nd Place winner was Cadet PVT DeKyrion Guinn from Northeast HS. The 3rd Place winner was Cadet PFC Jade Sims from McKinley HS. The cadets were well prepared. "Great Job Instructors"
