The JROTC Leadership & Academic Bowl (JLAB) is a national competition that brings together Junior ROTC cadets from all service branches to test their leadership, academic knowledge, and teamwork skills. It Sponsored by the College Options Foundation, JLAB begins with two online qualifying rounds where thousands of teams answer questions on JROTC curriculum, leadership principles, and core academic subjects.
There are many benefits of participating in the Leadership Bowl:
(1) Increases interest in college admissions and access to college prep materials
(2) Improve leadership skills
(3) Demonstrate academic and leadership strengths of the JROTC program
(4) Boost esprit-de-corps • Share your leadership experience and best practices with other JROTC units
(5) Earn the opportunity to travel to our nation’s capital
The cadets are getting briefed on the importance of integrity and teamwork.
