CONGRATULATION!!!!!!!
The Istrouma High School JROTC program was awarded "Honor Unit with Distinction" (HUD).
On 03 December 2024 at Istrouma HS, 6th Brigade, Cadet Command representatives conducted the JROTC Accreditation (JPA) inspection for Northeast High School's JROTC program. The JPA is used to evaluate secondary educational institutions and JROTC Instructors, as defined by public laws, contracts, Army Regulations, and USACC policies to ensure compliance with minimum program criteria. JPA visits are conducted at least once every three years. Areas inspected include:
(1) Battalion Staff Continuous Improvement Briefing and Interview (5) Service Learning Briefing
(2) Cadet Portfolio and interview (6) Instructor Portfolio and Interview
(3) Unit Report (7) In-Ranks or Drill
(4) Color Guard (8) Logistics
The Istrouma HS JROTC cadets were nothing short of excellent during the JPA process. Congratulation to the masterful job LTC (Ret) Johnston and MSG (Ret) Boyd did in preparing their cadets for this tedious process. Additionally, transforming a satisfactory program into a "Gold Star" Honor Unit with Distinction. Outstanding accomplishment.
