Good afternoon,
Team Humber have come back with a fantastic attitude to their learning. We are carrying out assessments this week and next and they have shown amazing resilience and self belief. Please reassure children that these assessments are done so we know where the children need extra support.
Next week:
Friday is a training day.
English: We will be writing an information leaflet about Fair Trade.
Maths: We will comparing and ordering fractions.
Curriculum: We will be looking at which foods come from which biomes.
Science: We will be exploring how shadows are formed and why the shape stays the same.
PSHE: We will be looking at dreams and goals, where children will be looking at setting goals and how people overcome barriers, including disabilities.
P.E is on Tuesday and Friday. Children need to come dressed in PE kit for the whole day. Children need to wear a pair of plain black or navy blue jogging bottoms or shorts, a plain white t-shirt and a plain black or navy blue hoodie. Children need to wear suitable shoes for PE (trainers or plimsolls).
Homework will be set this week.
Reading: The children will be expected to read a minimum of 3 times a week, ideally to a grown-up. This needs to be recorded in their reading records.
Spelling: The children will be expected to play a minimum of 5 games of the set spelling rule on EdShed.
Maths: The children will have a task set on My Maths.
Children are expected to access TTRockstars a minimum of 3 times a week.
Thank you for your continued support,
Mrs Danbury
