WEEKLY UPDATE
Dear Parents and Carers,
We’ve had a wonderful week in Reception! The children have thoroughly enjoyed learning about the outside world and observing the seasonal changes as we move into Autumn. Next week, we are hoping to go on an Autumn walk in our nature area to collect autumnal objects and spot any changes we can see.
🍂 If you're out and about for a walk this weekend and happen to spot any conkers, colourful leaves, or other natural autumn treasures, we would love for you to bring them into school! These items will be a wonderful addition to our classroom provision and help support seasonal learning and play.
It has been lovely to see so many of you reading with your children at home and filling in their reading records. Please continue to do this, as it really supports the children on their reading journey. If you have any questions about reading, please don’t hesitate to speak to Mrs Murray or Miss Slinn.
Important Information:
📚 Phonics Meeting: Please join us for our Phonics Meeting on Thursday 9th October at 2:45pm. This is a great opportunity to see how you can support your child’s reading at home.
🏃♂️ PE: PE is every Wednesday. Please ensure your child comes to school in their PE kit on this day.
🎒 Book Bags: Please bring your child’s book and book bag to school every day. During our Guided Reading Groups we will check in with your child's reading diary.
We have attached next week’s phonics sounds that we will be learning. This week's learning you can find uploaded to your child's Tapestry account.
Thank you for your continued support.
Have a lovely weekend!
