Team aire, wharfe & ouse (Year 1 & year 2)

Good afternoon,

This week, KS1 have thoroughly enjoyed their second DT day of KS1, this time, including some Spanish.

Changing books:

To support with reading in school we are changing the day we are sending new books home. Please can book bags and reading records now be sent to school on THURSDAYS. 

REMINDERS:

Our PE days are Monday and Thursday.

If your child has signed up for craft club, this takes place after school every Wednesday and Lego club is on a Monday. 

In Maths, Year 1 are continuing their topic of measure, with a focus on capacity. 

In Year 2 , we are focussing on addition and subtraction within 100 using our knowledge of multiples of 10 to support us with this.

In Writing, we are writing an independent fact file based on The Great Fire of London. 

HOMEWORK:

Your children will bring home their reading books on Friday. We ask that you read with your child 3x a week and write in their reading records each time you read.

The children who have read 3x, will be giving a raffle ticket to be in with a chance to win a prize.

We know reading is essential for your child/ren and we thank your support with this.
