Team HUMBER (year 6)

Good afternoon, 

The children are really enjoying writing stories based on The Lighthouse and they are producing fabulous work! 

Coming up next week: 

English: 

Year 6 - the children will be writing their own stories where they use speech to show what characters are like and to move the story forward

Maths:

Year 6 - will be looking at statistics, including pie charts and line graphs. 

Science: the children will learning about changes in the human body between birth and adulthood, this will not include the PSHE puberty content. 

PSHE: 

Year 6 - children will be learning about taking medication responsibly and the risks around drugs 

Homework:

Reading: the children will be expected to read a minimum of 3 times a week, ideally to a grown up. 

Spelling: the children need to complete at least 5 spelling games per week. 

Maths: the children will have a task set on My Maths.

Children are expected to access TT Rockstars a minimum of 3 times a week.
