Good afternoon,
This week in Geography we compared what daily life is like in Poland to the UK. The children got creative with how they wanted to present their findings! In Science, we observed our cress seed investigation and were amazed to find all the cress seeds had begun to grow despite not having everything it needed! We then learnt about water transportation in plants. In English, we wrote our non-chronological report all about Polish food, religion and football.
Creative Curriculum - We will be having a Polish Cultural Celebration Day on Monday, where some of our Polish families in the school community are kindly coming in to support!
English - We are going to be starting our independent non-chronological report on Poland.
Maths Year 3 - We are starting our new topic of symmetry. We will be creating our own symmetrical patterns with paper and using 2D shapes.
Maths Year 4 - We are starting our coordinates unit and will be describing the translations of polygons on a grid.
PE Year 3 & 4 - All LKS2 have PE on Tuesday and Friday and need to come in their PE kits on these days.
PSHE Year 3 - We are continuing our new topic ‘Relationships’. This we we are focussing on how some of the actions and work of people around the world help and influence my life. We will also look at how my needs and rights are shared by children around the world and can identify how our lives might be different.
PSHE Year 4 - We are continuing our topic ‘Relationships’. This week we are continuing knowing how to tell you about someone we know that we no longer see because they have died, and knowing we can remember people even if we no longer see them because they have died.
Homework has been set today and is due in next Friday.
