Team HUMBER (year 6)

Good afternoon, 

We hope everyone had a lovely Easter break. It has been a great week back at Staynor and can’t wait to get stuck into more exciting things this term. The children are loving exploring our new book ‘Who let the Gods out?’! 

Coming up next week: 

English: 

Year 6 - the children will be writing stories where they use speech to show what characters are like and to move the story forward

Maths: 

Year 6 - will be looking at ratio and proportion 

Science: the children will learn about the stages of life from a child to adulthood

 PSHE: 

Year 6 - children will be learning about taking medication responsibly and the risks around drugs 

Homework:

Reading: the children will be expected to read a minimum of 3 times a week, ideally to a grown up. 

Spelling: the children need to complete at least 5 spelling games per week. 

Maths: the children will have a task set on My Maths.

Children are expected to access TT Rockstars a minimum of 3 times a week.
