STAYNOR HALL ACADEMY NEWSLETTER

Dear Families
As we head into our final week of the school year, there is a real sense of excitement across the school. We are looking forward to celebrating a fantastic year with a whole school bouncy castle treat on Friday.
I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge well done to everyone involved in the Rock Steady concert, it was a wonderful success and we were so proud of the children's confidence and musical talent.
Despite another very warm week, the children have continued to be sensible, responsible and positive, we are incredibly proud of how well they have coped in the heat.
We hope you all have a lovely weekend, and we look forward to seeing everyone for our final week together.

New Clothes Recycling Bin – Support Our School!
We’re excited to share that a new clothes recycling bin has been installed on the school grounds! This is a fantastic opportunity for our community to come together, reduce waste, and support the school at the same time.
We encourage families to donate any unwanted clothing and shoes. Every item collected helps to raise valuable funds that go directly back into supporting school activities, resources, and opportunities for our children.
By using the recycling bin, you’re not only helping the environment by giving items a second life, but also contributing to the continued growth and success of our school.
Thank you for your ongoing support — every bag makes a difference!
What's Cooking?
This week, children from Team Humber finished making their Greek Salads. They have had the opportunity to learn some interesting facts about Greece and the history of the Greek Salad. They have also learnt about where their food comes from with a particular focus on Feta Cheese and Olives.
Team Humber also continued to make pepperoni pizzas in preparation for their graduation. They followed a recipe and competently used digital scales and measuring spoons. They also had the opportunity to taste their creations, to ensure they were up to standard! They have all done an amazing job and showed such determination in working conditions that have been rather warm! Well done to you all!
I will continue to work with Team Humber next week and make more pizza to ensure we have enough for everyone on the evening of their graduation. They will also be assisting in making a few more delights, all will be revealed next week.
