Good afternoon,
This week, the children have continued to work incredibly hard and should be very proud of all they have achieved. They have thoroughly enjoyed writing their non-chronological reports about Victorian classrooms, using the knowledge they have gained throughout our history topic to create informative pieces of writing. In PSHE, we have been discussing who we can talk to if we are feeling worried, identifying trusted adults both at school and at home who can help and support us. In Science, we have completed our topic on Living Things and Their Habitats by exploring what different animals eat and learning about herbivores, carnivores and omnivores. It has been wonderful to see the children's enthusiasm and growing confidence across all areas of learning.

PLEASE NOTE WE WILL COLLECT ALL READING BOOKS IN THROUGHOUT THE WEEK.
REMINDERS:
This half term, our PE days will be Monday and Friday.
HOMEWORK:
Your children will bring home their reading books on Thursday. We ask that you read with your child 3x a week and write in their reading records each time you read.
The children who have read 3x, will be giving a raffle ticket to be in with a chance to win a prize.
We know reading is essential for your child/ren and we thank your support with this.
Below is a list of KS1 common exceptions words. These are a list of words that the children need to be able to read and write - although this isn't homework as such, it may be useful to practice these at home. Across Key Stage 1 we are working really hard to improve spelling and handwriting so any support with this at home would be greatly appreciated.
Any questions, please come and ask us.
Thank you for your continued support,
Team KS1
