Team HUMBER (year 6)

Good afternoon, 

Team Humber really enjoyed interviewing members of staff this week for our geography fieldwork. They showed great confidence and independence when asking questions. 

Next week: 

English: we will be looking at areas of the children’s choice based on confidence building before SATs

Maths: we will be looking at areas of the children’s choice based on confidence building before SATs

Curriculum: We will be compiling our results from our fieldwork task and presenting our findings.

Science: The children will be investigating the brightness of bulbs by varying components in our circuit.

PSHE: we will be looking at reasons why people may display bullying behaviour and how to deal with this. 

P.E is on Thursday and Friday. Children need to come dressed in PE kit for the whole day. Children need to wear a pair of plain black or navy blue jogging bottoms or shorts, a plain white t-shirt and a plain black or navy blue hoodie. Children need to wear suitable shoes for PE (trainers or plimsolls).  

Homework will be set this week.

Reading: The children will be expected to read a minimum of 3 times a week, ideally to a grown-up. This needs to be recorded in their reading records.

Spelling: The children will be expected to play a minimum of 5 games of the set spelling rule on EdShed. 

Maths: The children will have a task set on My Maths.

Children are expected to access TTRockstars a minimum of 3 times a week.
