Dear Families
We have had a great week celebrating sport with our children. On Wednesday we saw our Early Years children complete their sports day and then KS1 and KS2 today. Throughout, children have shown determination and collaboration and overall brilliant sportsmanship. We could not be prouder of them. Thank you to all of the staff who worked hard to make it such a success.
Congratulations to our Staynor Hall Stars! In 3rd place we had Oliver S, in 2nd place we had Ella C and in 1st place was Bridget T, we are immensely proud of all of the children who joined in, we all thoroughly enjoyed sharing their talents with them.
Yesterday we had our School Council Break The Rules Day and raised and incredible £513! This is a fantatic amount of money to raise and will be well used by the School Council to fund resources and equipement as requested by the children and for the children. Thank you to all of our parents and carers for your ongoing support.
I wish you a lovely weekend,
Mrs Winter

New Clothes Recycling Bin – Support Our School!
We’re excited to share that a new clothes recycling bin has been installed on the school grounds! This is a fantastic opportunity for our community to come together, reduce waste, and support the school at the same time.
We encourage families to donate any unwanted clothing and shoes. Every item collected helps to raise valuable funds that go directly back into supporting school activities, resources, and opportunities for our children.
By using the recycling bin, you’re not only helping the environment by giving items a second life, but also contributing to the continued growth and success of our school.
Thank you for your ongoing support — every bag makes a difference!
What's Cooking?
This week I have been working with children from Team Humber. They have been making a Greek Salad. They have had the opportunity to learn some interesting facts about Greece and the history of the Greek Salad. They have also learnt about where their food comes from with a particular focus on Feta Cheese and Olives. A globe was used to locate the countries/continents of the ingredients used and discussions were had regarding the seasonality of certain products.
The children had the opportunity to practise their chopping/slicing/cutting skills whilst preparing their ingredients. They also showed they were competent in using digital scales and measuring spoons. They have all done an amazing job and showed such determination. Well done to you all!
Some of the children from Team Humber also made some pepperoni pizzas in preparation for their graduation. They followed a recipe and competently used digital scales and measuring spoons. They also had the opportunity to taste their creations, to ensure they were up to standard!
I will continue to work with Team Humber next week, finishing off making a Greek Salad and making more pizza to ensure we have enough!
