Reception (Nidd & Swale)

Wow!! What a busy week! We have had another amazing week in Reception!

The children absolutely loved their transition sessions into their Year 1 classrooms. As part of their learning, they designed and made their own boats before testing them to see if they would float. It was wonderful to see their creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills in action. It was also amazing to hear what grown up, independent superstars they were in their new classes! 

A huge well done to everyone for a fantastic Sports Day! The children showed great enthusiasm, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the day. Thank you to all of our families who came along to support us – we really appreciated your encouragement and cheering.

We were also incredibly proud of our talented performers in the Staynor Stars Talent Show on Wednesday and Thursday. Well done to all of our superstars who took part and showed such confidence on stage!

Next week, our Reception children will become the buddies for our new Reception starters as they come to play in our classroom. We know they will do a wonderful job of welcoming the new children and helping them feel happy and settled.

We can't believe there are only two weeks left until the summer holidays! We are looking forward to making the most of our remaining time together and creating lots more special memories!
