Good afternoon,
Team Calder have had an incredibly busy week and particularly impressed me with their skill and determination when making bee hotels in DT this week.
Maths and spelling homework has been set this week. Please let me know if you need homework printing.
Don’t forget to keep checking Twitter to see what learning we have been up to!
Next week:
We have our Class sharing assembly on Tuesday at 2.45pm
We also have our ukulele concert on Thursday. (Please arrive at 9.30am for a 9.40 performance)
English:We will be planning and writing a non-chronological report on a fictional creature called 'The Brockenspectre.'
Maths: We will be continuing our learning on fractions.
Curriculum: We will be continuing our new topic on ‘When is Mother Earth not kind’.
PSHE: We will be thinking about appropriate boundaries in friendships both on and offline.
Science: We will be continuing to look at the life cycles of plants.
P.E is now every Monday and Thursday. Children need to come dressed in PE kit for the whole day. Children need to wear a pair of plain black or navy blue jogging bottoms or shorts, a plain white t-shirt and a plain black or navy blue hoodie. Children need to wear suitable shoes for PE (trainers or plimsolls).
If children cannot access the internet at home, sheets can be requested for homework.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the school office.
Thank you for your continued support,
Mrs Lazenby
