WEEKLY UPDATE

Dear Parents and Carers,

We’ve had a wonderful week in Reception!

The highlight for many of the children was their Transition Day into their new class. They were full of excitement and showed great confidence as they explored their new environment and began building relationships with their new teachers.

In Phonics, we have continued practicing our Phase 4 reading and writing with the children making fantastic progress in blending and segmenting.

During our Literacy sessions, we have been learning about artists and using our descriptive vocabulary to make sentences. The children have enjoyed expressing their ideas and using exciting words to describe colours, shapes, and textures.

In Maths, we’ve been exploring doubles, as well as identifying odd and even numbers. The children have been using practical resources and games to help consolidate their understanding.
