Good afternoon, 

Coming up next week: 

Next Thursday is Staynor Hall’s annual Sports Day. The KS1 children will be taking part in a carousel of sport activities in the morning before heading onto the field to complete the races. Please can children wear PE kit and trainers.

KS1 Art Day- the children will be learning all about the artist Picasso. They will then draw a portrait of themself in the style of Picasso. Their portrait will then be displayed at the Art exhibition in the school hall on Wednesday 3rd July 3:30-4:15pm and can be purchased for £3.

English- the children will be continuing writing their independent character description.

Maths - Year 2 will continue to explore the relationship between the 5x and 10x table

PSHE-

Year 1- the children will be continuing to learn the names of parts of the body. This will include the vocabulary: Eyebrow, forehead, arm, leg, knee, toes, head, mouth, ears, shoulders, feet, fingers, elbow.

Year 2 are continuing to look at life cycles and what happens as we get older. This will include the vocabulary: Growing up, old, young, change, appearance, age, ageing
