Team HUMBER (year 6)

Good afternoon, 

The children have had a great week writing stories based on the short film alma. They’ve worked really hard to build tension. They have also had an incredibly mature approach to our work around relationships, and they are looking forward to our continued learning around this. 

Coming up next week: 

Wednesday - we are visiting the Hull Hindu temple. Children need to be in school uniform. 

Thursday - the afternoon is our sports day session. Children are also supporting the Early Year and KS1 sports day in the morning. 

Friday - we are visiting Horton park Primary school and after school is our summer fair. 

PSHE

We will be spending additional time focusing on our PSHE relationship work next week. We will be looking at the following area: 

• Healthy relationships, including how people might try to gain control. 

• Knowing how to judge whether something is safe online. 

• Knowing what peer pressure looks like and how to respond to it. 

• Knowing how to judge what is appropriate and inappropriate touch.
