Good afternoon,
Next week we have another 'learn through week'. We will be learning all about different countries and their cultures.
Well done to all our Year 2's for delivering such an amazing sharing assembly to your grown ups on Tuesday afternoon. We hope you enjoyed making your own fan and reading your child's independent writing.
Ahead of our final topic of the year, we have an exciting visit to our school next week where we will be becoming explorers and getting taken virtually to space!
Writing
Next week, we will be writing a travel guide describing all the places we have learnt about during our week.
Maths
Year 1 will be continuing to learn about pennies and how many make a value such as 10p.
Year 2 will be continuing their work with money and begin to add and subtract amount, we will be looking at time (half past, quarter past, quarter too) and also look at shape properties.
Homework
3 x reading - we ask your child to read three times a week at home and record this in your reading record.
We also encourage your child to 'read for pleasure' at home. This can come in the form of story books, chapter books, information texts, magazines, ebooks. Please add any additional reading to your child's reading record as we love seeing the variety of texts your child is accessing out of school.
