WEEKLY NEWSLETTER
Friday 10th May 2024
Dear Families,
This week we have had a visit from the circus! The children have thoroughly enjoyed developing their circus skills by spinning plates, walking the tightrope, practising skills with flower sticks and so much more! This has been to support the work we have been doing in our learn through week called 'Master of the Arts'.
Next week our children in Year 6 will complete their SATs assessments, we are so proud of each and everyone of them for the work they have done to prepare for them. If your child is in Year 6 please can they come to school at 8:15am on Monday-Thursday to enjoy a SATs breakfast with us.
Enjoy the wonderful weather this weekend.
With very best wishes
Mrs Winter
The weather is warming up!
As temperatures rise and the sun starts to come out of hiding, please can we ask that children come to school with a sun hat and sun cream already applied (ideally long lasting as staff cannot reapply.) Ideally, once a day suncream.
If your child is capable of applying sun cream themselves they can bring a bottle into school clearly labelled with their name.
It is also more important than ever that children remember a drinks bottle every day to stay hydrated.
Tiny Steps and Nursery May invoices have now been issued. Can you please ensure that payment is paid by the deadline shown on your invoice to avoid late payment charges being incurred.
There are a number of April invoices still outstanding. Please can you ensure these are paid as a matter of importance to clear the outstanding balance.

What's Cooking?
Team Ouse and Team Wharfe have been in Cook School this week making some delicious Queen Drop Biscuits, in celebration of the Victorians.
Not only have the children produced some delicious biscuits, they have further developed their cooking skills by using digital scales, a sieve and even cracked an egg! Well done to you all - you were amazing. I will continue to work with more children from Team Ouse and Team Wharfe next week.
The children that attend Cook School always work to their best ability and make me proud every day. I would, however, like to give a special mention to a small group of children from Team Ouse. Arlo, Daisy, Lexi-Mae, Idie, April and Kamil all did a fantastic job in Cook School this week. Not only did they work well in supporting each other, they were respectful and engaged so well. They even cleaned up after themselves! Well done to all of you on achieving WOW status - keep up the good work!
