Thank you to everyone for attending parents’ evening. It was wonderful to share how well the children are doing.
The children are currently very engaged in writing their Lighthouse stories. You could have heard a pin drop in class this morning!
Coming up next week:
English:
Year 6 - the children will be finishing their stories based on the Lighthouse and we will be looking at the different tenses, such as past progressive.
Maths:
Year 6 - will be looking at statistics, including pie charts and line graphs, as well as interpreting tables and calculating the mean average.
Science: the children will learning about changes in the human body between birth and adulthood, this will not include the PSHE puberty content.
PSHE:
Year 6 - children will be finishing their learning about taking medication responsibly and the risks around drugs
Homework:
Reading: the children will be expected to read a minimum of 3 times a week, ideally to a grown up.
Spelling: the children need to complete at least 5 spelling games per week.
Maths: the children will have a task set on My Maths.
Children are expected to access TT Rockstars a minimum of 3 times a week.
