Team calder (year 5)

Good afternoon, 

It was lovely to meet you at Parents evening and discuss how the children are doing. We are looking forward to seeing you at the dance showcase (see separate parenthub)

Coming up next week: 

English: Year 5 - the children will be looking at the solution in our Theseus and the minotaur myth. 

Maths: Year 5 - the children will be looking at fractions and identify unit and non-unit fractions before multiplying fractions. 

Curriculum: next week we will look at what the Ancient Greeks believed. 

Science: the children will learning about the human circulatory system and its functions.

 PSHE: Year 5 - To know that belonging to an online community can have positive and negative consequences (including people I do not know). 

Homework:

Reading: the children will be expected to read a minimum of 3 times a week, ideally to a grown up. 

Spelling: the children need to complete at least 5 spelling games per week. 

Maths: the children will have a task set on My Maths.

Children are expected to access TT Rockstars a minimum of 3 times a week.
