Good afternoon, 

The children have had a fantastic week showcasing their learning about the Victorians and next week we have created some special challenges so the children can show off their understanding further. 

Coming up next week: 

English- The children will finish their big write diary entry focusing on using contractions. They will then share these with Year 5. 

Maths - 

Year 1 will be learning about what a quarter is and they will practise describing position, direction and movement. 

Year 2 will be pattern spotting with division linked to the 2x, 5x and 10x table

PSHE-

Year 1 will be focusing on how to stay safe over the summer holidays. This will include learning about road safety and who they can speak to if they are worried during the holidays. 

Year 2 will learn to know the name of female body parts.

Vocabulary- breasts, Vulva, bottom, girls, female,different, private,gender

There are no spellings this week and there will be no book change next week due to it being the end of term. 

Please send a carrier bag in with your child next Friday for them to bring any work home in.
