Good afternoon,
Goodness me, how are we approaching the last week of the school year. The year has absolutely flown by. The children have been a pleasure to teach and I will be very sad to see them leave next Friday.
This week we have celebrated the children's wonderful successes with their SATs results. Every child has made amazing progress from their starting point. However, as I have told them all year, their SATs do not define who they are. They do not show the amazing young people that they are: their incredible work ethic, their unique, vibrant personalities and the special skills and talents that each and every one of them have. Each child is incredible and their high schools are extremely fortunate to be gaining such well rounded individuals - they are truly a credit to each and every one of you.
Coming up next week:
Monday - we will be finishing our Sex and Relationship work, including looking at conception and reproduction. We will also be visiting Selby College in the afternoon to take part in the Crucial Crew event - please see separate Parent Hub for further details.
Tuesday - we are going to Scarborough. Children need to be in school for 8:30 and will return at approximately 5pm. Please let the office know if you are not collecting your children from school.
Wednesday - our leavers' graduation night. Children need to return to school for 5:30.
Thank you for your continued support.
Kind regards,
Mrs Danbury
