Good afternoon,
The children really enjoyed their Science this week, where they looked at how we inherit features from our parents. They have also worked incredibly hard in English to come up with a second action paragraph of a battle between 2 characters trying to reach Valhalla.
Don’t forget to keep checking Twitter to see what learning we have been up to!
Coming up next week:
English: the children will be writing their own Viking saga for our Year 3 and 4 children.
Maths - the children will be looking at how to write a fraction in its simplest form.
Curriculum - the children will be continuing to learn how the Vikings changed Britain when they settled here.
Science - the children will be learning about Charles Darwin and his research around evolution and inheritance
PSHE - the children will be learning about derogatory language, including homophobic language, and the impact this can have on people.
Homework:
Reading: the children will be expected to read a minimum of 3 times a week, ideally to a grown up.
Spelling: the children need to complete at least 5 spelling games per week.
Maths: the children will have a task set on My Maths.
Children are expected to access TT Rockstars a minimum of 3 times a week.
Thank you for your continued support,
Kind regards,
Mrs Danbury
