Good afternoon,
The children have been working hard and have produced a lovely descriptive paragraph. They also worked hard to use their collaging skills in art, showing creativity and care.
In Maths, Year 1 will be continuing with addition and subtraction.
In Year 2 , next week we will be continuing their new topic of shape.
In Writing, KS1 will be starting their new genre of non-chronological reports.
In Spanish this week KS1 have started their new topic today and they love the songs and have asked if they can learn them at home.

Changing books:
To support with reading in school we are changing the day we are sending new books home. Please can book bags and reading records be sent to school on THURSDAYS.
REMINDERS:
For Spring 1, our PE days will be Monday and Thursdays.
HOMEWORK:
Your children will bring home their reading books on Thursday. We ask that you read with your child 3x a week and write in their reading records each time you read.
The children who have read 3x, will be giving a raffle ticket to be in with a chance to win a prize.
We know reading is essential for your child/ren and we thank your support with this.
Below is a list of KS1 common exceptions words. These are a list of words that the children need to be able to read and write - although this isn't homework as such, it may be useful to practice these at home.
Any questions, please come and ask us.
Thank you,
Team KS1
