Team HUMBER (year 6)

Good afternoon, 

I feel incredibly proud of the children this week. As I said last week, they have been completing practice papers and they have shown such wonderful self belief, determination and a very positive attitude. It has been a pleasure to see them give their all. 

Don’t forget to keep checking Twitter to see what learning we have been up to! 

Coming up next week: 

English:  the children will be writing an action scene for their Viking saga 

Maths - the children will be finding a fraction of an amount. 

Curriculum -  the children will be discovering why the Vikings chose to settle in England, while exploring 6 figure grid references. 

Science - the children will be continuing learning about the planets orbiting around and they will be making an orrery.  

PSHE - the children will be looking understanding that everybody has their own version of personal space and that we need to be respectful of that

Homework:

Reading: the children will be expected to read a minimum of 3 times a week, ideally to a grown up. 

Spelling: the children need to complete at least 5 spelling games per week. 

Maths: the children will have a task set on My Maths.

Children are expected to access TT Rockstars a minimum of 3 times a week.
