Team calder & Loxley (year 5)

Good afternoon, 

Teams Calder and Loxley have had another super week and really enjoyed their science investigation session with Draks.

English: We will be continuing our Greek myths based on Theseus and the minotaur.

Maths: We will be continuing our topic on area and scaling.

Curriculum: Children will be finding out whether daily life in ancient Greece was similar to modern day.

 PSHE: We will be learning about different cultures.

Science: The children will be investigating how they can use their knowledge of solids, liquids and gases to decide how mixtures might be separated.

Homework will be set this week.

If children cannot access the internet at home, sheets can be requested for homework. 

Reading: The children will be expected to read a minimum of 3 times a week, ideally to a grown-up. This needs to be recorded in their reading records.

Spelling: The children will be expected to play a minimum of 5 games of the set spelling rule on EdShed. 

Maths: The children will have a task set on My Maths.

Children are expected to access TTRockstars a minimum of 3 times a week.
