WOW! The children have loved our new topic of 'Is Humpty Dumpty real?' The imagination and love for learning has been lovely to see.
In English we are looking at Traditional Tales. The children have read a mixture of fairy tales this week and identified key features of fairy tale writing. This week the children have been focussing on The Three Billy Goats Gruff where we acted out the story to show a real understanding. Next week we are going to be looking at Little Red Riding Hood focusing on questions.

Year 2 Maths
Next week we are starting a new unit on multiplication linked to the 2x, 5x and 10x table.

Homework:
3 x reading- we ask your child to read three times a week at home and record this in your reading record.
We also encourage your child to 'read for pleasure' at home. This can come in the form of story books, chapter books, information texts, magazines, ebooks. Please add any additional reading to your child's reading record as we love seeing the variety of texts your child is accessing out of school.
