Dear Parents and carers
In last weeks Safeguarding Thought of the Week I shared information around parental controls on online devices. This week I have shared information around online group chats. As our children grow up in an increasingly digital world, they are more exposed to online platforms, including group chats, which have become a common means of communication. While these can offer opportunities for socialising and collaboration, there are also risks involved, particularly for young children in primary school. It’s important for us, as educators and parents, to be aware of these risks and take steps to protect our children.
Please see the attached poster for further information and guidance around group chats.
As always please come and speak to myself if you have any concerns or questions around group chats.
Warm Regards
Mr Metcalfe
Designated Safeguarding Lead
What's Cooking?
I have been working with children from Team Humber this week, making some delicious Vegetable Paella in preparation for our Ebor Language Day which we are celebrating next week. Every year we love to embrace that our children learn Spanish in school and how better to celebrate than with some Spanish Cooking!
-
The children have enjoyed learning about the rice that is used in paella, along with other ingredients including onions, peppers, chickpeas and garlic. They have also learnt where rice comes from and how it grows. I am sure they will enjoy sharing this information with you.
I will continue to work with Team Humber next week and we have something very exciting planned for Thursday afternoon which we will share with you next Friday.
Adios for now!
Mrs Soper
Cook School Lead
