Good afternoon,
Team Calder have had another fabulous week! In History, we looked at hyperinflation and how the people in different countries may have been feeling at the end of WW1. The children have continued studying war poetry in English and have started to write their own which they will save and perform on Remembrance Day. In Science, we have started to investigate the effects of air resistance on a falling object. In Maths, the children have been multiplying decimal numbers (tenths).
Next week:
Curriculum :the children will be learning about who the allied forces were in World War 2.
English: the children will be writing stories based on the evacuation of Dunkirk in World War 2
Maths: the children will be adding and subtracting with decimals in the tenths column
PSHE: To know how to face new challenges positively and know how to set personal goals.
