A note from our 6th grade English teacher
Through collaborative work with the Design class teacher, Sooz Worthing, our sixth graders created their own children's books and gifted them to the EBI pre-kinder through first grade students. The books were created after reading Linda Mullaley Hunt’s book, Fish in a Tree, an inspirational book that reminds us that our differences make us special and should be celebrated. Our students created the books using www.bookcreator.com. They wrote the storylines, characters, and settings and illustrated their stories with drawings of their own or found on the internet. Through the editing process, they used feedback from their teachers, parents, and peers to complete their stories. The sixth grade class worked hard and is very excited to share their stories with the EBI community. You may click on any title to read the book.
