Welcome to EAHS! I'm Ms. Symia, (yes, yes, yes... the daughter of the great Dr. Symia from EAMS). I was part of the CIS pioneers at the EAHS that created the services and started the partnerships with Easton in 2013. Prior to that I worked in the CIS after school program at EAMS and was known as "Ms. Elise". I've been awarded my BS double major in Biopsychology and Philosophy, and a Masters in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Child and Adolescent Psychology. I also share my experience at EAHS, my deep experiences in numerous adolescent settings, such as hospitalizations and different school settings with different populations over the years. My passion is addressing the specific needs of ALL adolescents and treat this phase as a pivotal time no matter what the circumstance. I seek to fulfill each individual need, but always work to create a safe space that will allow them to find their own way with support. I believe no matter what the circumstance, all individuals can acheive their true potential with unconditional support, love, and family, and you can survive almost anything. ALL children deserve an advocate that will have their back, and guide them to be their best self. On a personal note, if you ever visit my office you will see my family is my everything (especially my nieces and nephews). I live by Buddhism/Zen practices, and I love traveling and learning about other cultures. Also, the Yankees are the only team/sport I'm interested in. You will see I truly go over and beyond for the people and things I love.
