Cricket - Otago Cricket have changed their registration process for Yr 3-6 players this year. Please follow the link to register your child for the Cricket Smash series. the Taieri Hub is being held at Brooklands Park from 4pm-5pm. Please follow the links below to register your child.

• 5-week softball cricket programme for younger beginners. With a focus on game play, values and enjoyment, every session has more hits, more catches, more action

• Years 0-3

• Cost: $35 per player

• Hubs at South Dunedin, North East Valley, Taieri, North Dunedin, Green Island & South Otago Cricket Clubs.

Summer Smash cricket is a school based programme (aimed at but not limited to boys) school years 3-6. It has been purposefully designed to offer all skill levels an opportunity to experience our game in a fun, inclusive format. Games usually take between 40-50mins, and all players receive an equal opportunity.

Smiths City Girls Smash is a fun and social programme for girls school years 3-6. It has been purposefully designed to offer girls of all skill levels an opportunity to experience our game in a fun, inclusive format. Games usually take between 40-50mins, and all players receive an equal opportunity. Girls Smash is all about having fun and giving it a go, with no experience necessary and all equipment provided!

Children play at Brookland's Park - Taieri Cricket Club, in a school teams of six. Girls Smash and Smash Cricket are played with a soft ball, plastic bats, wickets, and stumps - a great way to introduce your children to the game!

• Tuesday, 3:45pm - 4:45pm

  • 5 Week Programme 

  • Starts Tuesday 21st February - Ends Tuesday 21st March

  • Cost $120 per team ($20 per child)
