What is school council?
School council is a group of children who meet each week to discuss the school. There are two school counsillors from each class in KS1 & KS2. The aim of school council is to:
to improve the school according to the children's point of view
to make sure each class has a platform to voice their opinions
to discuss and raise issues.
How do I become a school councillor?
At the beginning of each academic year, pupil's nominate themselves. In year 6, pupil's are expected to put together a presentation as to why they think they would be a good school councillor. Each class then votes for their favourite presentation. Please note, prefects cannot apply for the school councilllor role.
When will we meet?
Regular meetings will be held with Mr Rivers.
