Hello 10th grade students and families: Your PSAT10 grades will be available in the next few weeks so here is the link to sign into College Board to access your score once they arrive.

Grade Level Overview
Throughout all four years we are here to help students navigate through high school and access information and resources. We work with students and families to ensure that academic progress towards graduation is made and help students deal with the social-emotional pressures often found during high school.
10th Grade
Meet with 10th graders at the beginning of the year to review their grades and set goals for the new school year.
Set up group of 10th grade students to assist in advisory
In February, have a parent meeting with all 10th grade parents to introduce them to the college process
Students will continue with Naviance activities, starting with Personality Assessment and can explore careers through interesting inventories. Naviance will also be used to continue career exploration (see Road Trip Nation) and developing a list of colleges that the student is interested in applying to in 12th
March Super Match- add 3 favorite colleges-Students complete SuperMatch college
March search and identify 3 best fit colleges (add colleges to perspective colleges list)
March-start working on summer internships/jobs
In Spring, 10th graders will have the opportunity to attend the SUNY college visit
All 10th graders will take the PSAT10 exam in April.
Counselors will review PSAT10 results and go over college related standardized tests.
Counselors will meet with 10th graders in the spring to review academic standing and go over the course selection process for 11th
Spring- review their transcripts
Summer of 10th grade, SAT/ACT tutoring
Talk with the athletes about the National Clearinghouse standards.
